Charlotte Walters – Office Administration & Marketing Director
Char is otherwise known as SCC’s “Class Clown”… and has often been referred to as a dose of sunshine. Her genuine warmth greets you as you come in the door and you are quickly made to feel at ease. Her caring nature and love of people shines through loud and clear. While the office prides itself on running efficiently, it begins at the front desk. However, should you have to wait several minutes; you can be certain her quick humor will bring a smile to your face and hasten the time. She is adept at handling her myriad of responsibilities so capably, that you certainly understand how she has truly mastered the art of multi-tasking!
Prior to SCC, Char enjoyed a 30 year career in marketing some of the area’s high profile professionals. This background has been put to good use by developing our newsletter, designing and executing our direct mail campaigns, print media, website and collateral pieces.
Sharon Cramer – Insurance Administrator
Sharon compliments the staff of SCC with not only her 25 plus years of experience in Medical Billing, but also her desire to help gain the most for our patients from their insurance benefits. Sharon is a Billing Consultant, and a member of Amgen Biotech Company Advisory Board on Reimbursement for Medicare Part B. We have a mutual admiration society; we are fortunate to have Sharon on our team, and she comments, “I really enjoy working here. It is a pleasant place to hang your hat…for both our employees and our patients. Our Doctor is a kind, compassionate woman.”
Donna Papaleo, LMT
Donna graduated in June of 2000 from the Sarasota School of Massage Therapy, joined us in January of 2002, and has never stopped honing her skills. She continued on with her quest to broaden her education with training in Reiki I and II, Swe-thai Massage, Cranial/Structural soft tissue release and neuromuscular therapy training for cervical spine and cranium, and the torso and pelvic regions.
Donna’s sensitive, thoughtful nature is evident with everyone she lays her hands on. Her philosophy is to be and feel her best at all stages of her life and it is one she applies to everyone she has the privilege to “touch”. She is a dedicated and caring professional who responds to the needs of our patients utilizing massage therapy techniques that decrease chronic pain, and increase the mobility of joints and muscles, resulting in better health, relaxation and well-being.
She relaxes by exercising, running, (she is a member of the Jeff Galloway Running Club,) has finished full and half marathons, 5 K’s, and Trail Runs. At home she enjoys cooking, gardening, The Arts, and fine dining.
Kathi Hewitt, LMT
Before moving to Sarasota in 2000, Kathi began her health care career in Georgia where she practiced as an LPN for 24 years. She worked in the Regional Psychiatric Hospital and in several Georgia hospitals in Obstetrics. She took a major change in direction when she packed up and drove 4500+ miles to Alaska and her new home, where she met her husband and had 3 children. Her first job was working on the Alaskan pipeline then back to hospital work, her true passion. She was a member of the Alaska State Board of Nursing Appointed by the Governor of Alaska from 1988-91. When she came south again, she entered Massage School and the Academy of Somatic Healing Arts and graduated with 3 certifications in sports, neuromuscular, and Swedish.
Her extra certifications include Healing Touch Level 1 and 2, Reiki, Level 1 and 2, plus classes in Myofascial Release Technique. Her past-time include photography, hiking, bird watching, travel planning and the pursuit of happiness.
Megan McGlynn, C.A.
Originally born in St. Louis, Missouri, Megan has spent the last 18 years in Florida. She is a graduate of Keiser College with an Associates Degree. Megan’s career in the medical field began as an intern in two separate practices, one an OBGYN office, the 2nd a dermatology office. She later received her license as a Chiropractic Assistant where she worked 2 years in a private practice assisting an M.D., Chiropractor and a Doctor of Acupuncture. She went on to receive her license as a CNA, and it is certain that Megan’s experience belie her years.
Both Megan’s competence and nuturing ability make our patients comfortable with her professional and personal care. Her philosophy suits our office to a tee…she believes there is nothing better in life then helping someone feel better…and that she does with ease!
She is the mother of a darling little girl and her hobbies include the beach, traveling and just hanging out with those she loves!
Cheryl Jann-Ferreira, NCMT, LMT
Cheryl is a former elementary school teacher and district librarian from the Chicago suburban area. She became interested in massage when her youngest son sustained a serious injury. She began taking classes at the Wellness and Massage Training Institute, (WMTI0, and graduated with specialties in: Sports Massage, Deep Tissue, Pre-Natal, Ortho-bionomy. She has recently taken additional class time studying Myofascial Release techniques.
Cheryl and her husband, Dan enjoy living in Sarasota where they can indulge their passion for water sports. They also enjoy the theatre and opera in town. Cheryl’s warm and compassionate demeanor is a perfect fit to round out our health care providers at Sarasota Chiropractic Centre.
Deborah Nardi, NMT
Deb grew up in Bradenton, moved to upstate N.Y., where she lived for 25 years and has returned to the Venice area for the past five. She has a son, twin daughters and three grandchildren. Since moving back to the Florida, Deb attended The Florida College of Natural Health and graduated with a degree in neuromuscular therapy. Deb is also skilled in Swedish relaxation massage, hot stone therapy and reflexology. Her pastimes include vegetarian cooking, sewing, reading, and playing with her grandchildren. She helps round out of team of professional and caring therapists.
